Prophesy!

Course Description:

The goal of this course is to equip and deploy Christians into the world to release the voice of God wherever they go. Although the course is focused on teaching students about the the gift of prophesy and how to recognize the language of God, a great emphasis is placed on the priority of intimacy with the Father as the fundamental for developing this gift. Students can expect to develop and use this gift within the safety of the classroom during this course.

Course Objectives:

  • Prophesy over individuals or groups, either through revelation, interpretation, application or combinations of all three. Including but not limited to words of knowledge, wisdom and prophecy.
  • Activate others to prophesy, through impartation and training.
  • Prophesy or encourage the body of Christ, in a variety of ways, when asked to.

Course Core Values:

  • Every believer can have the gift of prophecy. Prophecy is not just limited to the ministry of prophecy and or those called as prophets.
  • Prophecy is not limited to the gift of prophecy alone, it includes the revelatory gifts such as words of wisdom, words of knowledge and discerning of spirits.
  • Prophecy is comes from hearing God speak. Although practicing and understanding the diverse ways in which God may speak will further develop this gift, to truly hear the heart of God comes from intimacy with the Father. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Prophecy flows from the heart reconciled or connected to the Father.
  • Prophesy is not limited to revelation of future events and may be as simple as a word of encouragement.
  • There are three parts to prophecy, the revelation, interpretation and application. It is not always necessary to operate in all three gifts when giving a prophetic word.
  • God has good things to say and wants to reveal the treasures hidden in the hearts of people. Prophecy is for edification and empowering the body of Christ. People should always feel powerful after you prophesy over them.
  • We only see in part and so we only prophesy in part. We can be wrong, so we prophesy with caution, not claiming to know absolutely or entirely.
  • Making a mistake when you prophesy does not make you a false prophet.
